Zimdiana performs in different configurations depending on the size and setting of the venue:

• As a Marimba band we bring a high-energy approach to traditional Shona music on a set of three Marimba and Drumset. Most of the Marimba repertoire comes from songs traditionally played on Mbira with a few songs from other sources.

• As an Mbira ensemble, Zimdiana plays traditional Mbira music with two Mbira, Hosho and Vocals.  This line-up is perfect for a venue seeking a lower volume or a more relaxed aesthetic.
